We are happy to review either complete articles, or outline suggestions for articles.
Approval for publication however will only be granted once the complete final article has been reviewed.
All contributions should be sent in the first instance to editor@40plustravelandleisure.com.
Articles should ideally be between 600 - 1200 words and accompanied by good quality pictures - relevant to the text of the article - for which you have the responsibility to give permission for their use.
Articles can be submitted either in the body text of the email, or as an attachment in either MS Word format, or as a simple text (.txt) file.
Picture sizes should ideally be no greater than 600px x 600px with a maximum file size of up to 500kb each. Please do not include more than four of these large image files in any one email. If you have problems in sizing your pictures, or in being able to tell what their file size is, then please contact us for special instructions before you send them. Large email file sizes can cause blockages in our email system, and may be rejected by the servers before we even get to review them.
We do not currently pay for, or commission articles - instead we offer advertising if relevant, and bylines to showcase authors work.
If you submit an article it will be assumed that you have read and agreed to these terms.
Sometimes it can take a while for me to review all the fantastic material and ideas that you would all like to share - but it does not get deleted and I will get back to you, eventually!
You will always be notified when your article has been published, and be provided with the links to it.
