48 Hours in Paris on a budget
Two hundred euros a day for two in Paris, one of the world's most expensive cities. It would be a challenge - but that was my goal for our visit to the city of lights in the pre-Christmas season.
A challenge it was, and we did go over the limit, but still managed to keep expenses down. We like to eat well, so I did some research to find places where we could have tasty cuisine that wouldn't cost a fortune...

August 2006. The fairy chimneys of Cappadocia grace the front pages of glossy travel brochures for Turkey tourism, and rightly so. Any trip to Turkey without passing through Cappadocia is incomplete, and any trip with the area on the itinerary is sure to result in satisfied customers.

Can you walk about 18k. over rough territory? Because, once you're in Crete's Samaria Gorge, there's only one way out. down the gorge to its mouth at Ayia Roumeli; either on foot, or, in emergency, on the back of the Ranger's donkey!
